YELLOW KNIGHTS REIGN SUPREME IN THE INTRAMURALS

Y-E-L-L-O-W KNIGHTS, LET’S GO! This was the chant that filled the SSIS gymnasium after the Overall Champion of the Intramurals 2019 was named last March 15.

After four years, the Order of the Yellow Knights is back on top! The Over-all Champion fought a tough battle against both the Blue Knights, First-Runner Up, and the Red Knights, Second-Runner-Up. It was not easy for the Yellow Knights to snatch the title. The Intramurals started off with the lighting of the torch which symbolized the commitment of each team to observe sportsmanship all throughout the four-day Intramurals. The Yellow, Blue, and Red Knights were Intramurals. Also, what spiced up the competition is the addition of the Question-and-Answer portion. Each muse and escort exhibited his or her wit in answering the questions. In the end, the following pairs won the title Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2019: ECED- Jaden Buenavente and Nisha Wong, Grade School – Gabriel Suarez and Tiana Dizon, and High School Department – Adam De Chavez and Aitana De Chavez. Yell Yellow! The valiant mentors and students of the Order of the Yellow Knight celebrate as the perpetual trophy was awarded to them for being the Overall Champion of the Intramurals, on March 15. It was immediately followed by the highlights of the opening day –the presentation of the Pre-Schoolers, the Cheer Dance Competition, and the
Mr. and Ms. Intramurals.

The Order of the Blue Knights made history as it is declared the winner of the first-ever Cheer Dance competition in SSIS. The Cheer Dance presentations of all the teams wowed both the audience and judges. The students from ECED, Grade School, and High School Departments danced and cheered together for their respective teams. Moreover, the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals is equally exciting as two major changes were made in the said competition. For the first time, a pair from the ECED was chosen as Mr. and Ms. Intramurals. Also, what spiced up the competition is the addition of the Question-and-Answer portion. Each muse and escort exhibited his or her wit in answering the questions. In the end, the following pairs won the title Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2019: ECED- Jaden Buenaventeand Nisha Wong, Grade School – Gabriel Suarez and Tiana Dizon, and High School Department – Adam De Chavez and Aitana De Chavez.

The following students represented their respected teams in the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals: Red Knights – Jap Pernez, Yassi Macatangay, Manij Nazari Sin, John Delos Angeles, and Nicola Caparas, Blue Knights – Nicolas Amurao, Miki De Chavez, Andrea Balina, Gabb Mejia, Lourence Butihin, and Jazcha Marayag, and Yellow Knights – Aaron Macaraig. The first day was a blast but the succeeding days just got more intense. Each team showed hunger in winning, thus, the players doubled their efforts to achieve. The games were so intense that it was very difficult to predict who the winner will be until all the games were over.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners!
